Everything is closely monitored to ensure optimal living conditions of the fish and the Salmon is fed high-quality feed from an Icelandic company. Almost all Atlantic Salmon on the market is farmed because there is a very small quantity of wild Atlantic Salmon fished in the rivers in Iceland by sports fishermen and who usually consume what they catch. If we would only eat the wild Atlantic Salmon then the strain would be extinct in weeks and that is why we need to raise them just like many other animals for example cows and chickens. Raised Salmon can be up to three times higher in fat than wild Salmon and therefore has more omega 3 fatty acids.
